  1. How do I change the password on my account?
  2. You can reset or create a password by:

    • Visiting www.HHonors.com/Login with your current username or HHonors number and existing password/PIN.
    • Follow the prompts to create a new password to use when logging into your account.
    • Your new password must be at least eight characters, contain at least one upper case letter, and contain at least one number or one special character.
    • Remember to choose a unique password and update it regularly to protect your personal information.
  3. How long will I have to change my password?
  4. In order to avoid any interruptions to your account access, we are asking our members to create their new password as soon as possible.

  5. What types of restrictions/regulations are involved with the new password?
  6. Hilton HHonors members' new passwords must be at least eight characters, contain at least one upper case letter, and contain at least one number or one special character. We encourage you to choose a unique password and update it every three to six months to ensure maximum security.

  7. I received an error message that said my login was incorrect when I tried to register for a promotion.
  8. Hilton HHonors recently updated our password requirements. In order to register for the promotion, you will need to update your password first.

    • In a new browser window, visit www.HHonors.com/Login with your current username or HHonors number and existing password/PIN.
    • Follow the prompts to create a new password to use when logging into your account.
    • Your new password must be at least eight characters, contain at least one upper case letter, and contain at least one number or one special character.
    • Remember to choose a unique password and update it regularly to protect your personal information.
    • Then, you should be able to register for the promotion by returning to the landing page.
  9. Why is this update taking place?
  10. We are making this update to align with the best practices of the industry. The ongoing security of our members' information is of the utmost importance to us, and we are committed to making all HHonors member experiences safe and secure.

  11. What other login changes are being implemented?
  12. To protect our members' accounts, our new login process will lock a user out of their account if they fail to provide the correct credentials after several attempts when logging in online. Once an account is locked, members can use the reset functionality to send an email to the preferred address on file and follow the instructions to resetting their password.

  13. How did HHonors decide on the password requirements?
  14. This new approach aligns with industry best practices and is recommended by the FTC.

  15. When was my PIN number removed from my account?
  16. The use of a PIN was removed from HHonors accounts on April 22, 2015.

  17. What happens if I didn't update my password by April 22, 2015?
  18. If you have not updated your password, you will be prompted to create a new password when signing in to your account.

  19. Will I be prompted to change my password when I login to my HHonors account?
  20. As of April 22, 2015, members who have not updated their account to meet the new password requirements will receive a prompt upon login to update their password.

  21. Will this change be reflected in the Terms & Conditions?
  22. Yes. The Hilton HHonors Terms and Conditions have been updated to reflect this change.

  23. Some members received Bonus Points for updating their password, am I eligible?
  24. The Bonus Points offer was only available for members who proactively changed their password to meet the new requirements between March 10, 2015 and April 10, 2015.

  25. What are the Terms to receive the 1,000 Hilton HHonors Bonus Points?
  26. Offer applicable for accounts that have been opened prior to March 10, 2015. Offer valid only for existing HHonors members that create a new password of at least 8 characters, containing at least 1 upper case letter, and containing at least 1 number or 1 special character between March 10, 2015 and April 10, 2015. A member may only achieve one bonus for updating their password during the offer period. Hilton HHonors reserves the right to discontinue the offer at any time without notice to members. Please allow 72-hours for Points to appear in your Hilton HHonors account.

  27. What if my current password meets the new requirements?
  28. If your current password was created prior to March 10, 2015, you still need to change/update your password following the new guidelines. If your password was created after March 10, 2015, and your new password meets the new requirements, then we appreciate your assistance in making your update and no further action is required at this time. However, we encourage you to choose a unique password and update it every three to six months to ensure maximum security.
