Hilton Worldwide, Inc. has created this Safe Harbor Privacy Policy to explain how we handle customer Personal Information that is collected by our direct and indirect subsidiaries, our Hilton HHonors guest reward program, and hotels operating under the brands listed below, located in the European Economic Area and Switzerland (collectively the “EEA”) and transferred to Hilton Worldwide, Inc. (“Hilton Worldwide”) in the United States. Our brands are:

This Safe Harbor Privacy Policy supplements our Global Privacy Policy.  Unless specifically defined in this Policy, the terms in this Safe Harbor Privacy Policy have the same meaning as in our Global Privacy Policy.
 
Hilton Worldwide has subscribed to and will adhere to the U.S.-EU/Switzerland Safe Harbor program (“Safe Harbor Program”) by adopting and implementing the Safe Harbor Privacy Principles, which include a set of frequently asked questions (collectively, the “Principles”).  More information about the Safe Harbor Program can be found at http://www.export.gov/safeharbor/.

Personal Information Received from the EEA

Hilton may receive Personal Information from entities in the EEA including name and contact information; date of birth; preferred communication methods; business name, title and business address; credit card details, including the three-digit code that appears on the back of your credit card; member number, frequent flyer or travel partner program affiliation; date of arrival and departure; room and vacation preferences; travel history; details on hotel, airline and rental car packages booked; details on joint travelers, including their names and frequent flyer numbers, and the age of the driver of the rental car; and other types of information that individuals choose to provide.  We do not generally collect sensitive information unless it is volunteered by you.

Use of Personal Information

Any Personal Information sent to us may be used by Hilton Worldwide and its agents for the purposes indicated in our Global Privacy Policy.  If we intend to use your information for a purpose that is incompatible with these purposes or if we intend to disclose it to a type of third party not previously identified, we will notify you and offer you the opportunity to opt-out of such uses and/or disclosures where it involves non-sensitive information or opt-in where sensitive information is involved.

Agents and Service Providers

We sometimes contract with other companies and individuals to perform functions or services on our behalf.  They may have access to Personal Information needed to perform their functions, but are restricted from using the Personal Information for purposes other than providing services for us or to us.  Hilton Worldwide requires that its agents and service providers that have access to Personal Information received from the EEA either subscribe to the Safe Harbor Principles or are subject to the EU Privacy Directive or another adequacy finding or enter into a written agreement with us that requires them to provide at least the same level of privacy protection as is required by the relevant Safe Harbor Principles.

Data Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your Personal Information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.

Data Integrity

We take reasonable steps to ensure that the Personal Information we process is reliable for its intended use, accurate, complete, and current to the extent necessary for the purposes for which we use the Personal Information.

Access to Personal Information

You can ask to review and correct the Personal Information that we maintain about you by sending a written request to the address listed below.  Please note, however, that certain Personal Information may be exempt from access, correction, objection, suppression or deletion rights pursuant to applicable data protection laws.
