HOW DO I EARN HHONORS POINTS?
Earn by staying at our hotels and resorts
After you complete an eligible stay at a hotel or resort within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio, you earn 10 HHonors Base Points for every US dollar spent on your room rate and other eligible room charges, including telephone calls and room service.
Some exceptions apply: At Hampton by Hilton™ or Homewood Suites by Hilton™ hotels, earn 10 Base Points for every US dollar spent on your room rate only. At Home2 Suites by Hilton™ hotels, earn 5 Base Points for every US dollar spent on your room rate only. See below for more information on what qualifies as a hotel stay. All Hampton by Hilton™ hotels in the People’s Republic of China are currently excluded from the Hilton HHonors program.

WHAT QUALIFIES AS AN ELIGIBLE HOTEL STAY?
A “stay” is defined as the total number of consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, whether or not a guest checks out and checks back in again. Specifically excluded from the definition of “stay” are the following types of ineligible stays: wholesale/tour operator packages; contracted crew rates; travel agency discount rates; packages exclusively for casino player card holders; unauthorized members staying on Go Hilton Team Member or Family & Friends Travel rates; Hilton Family Travel rates; stays secured utilizing Hilton Grand Vacations™ Club and Hilton Club timeshare programs; Hilton Grand Vacations™ marketing packages with a sales presentation requirement; complimentary or barter rooms; Reward Stays (as defined herein); NET Group rates; Series Group or IT Group rates; contracted Entertainment or Encore rates; third party website bookings (irrespective of rate paid); and “opaque” channel bookings where the brand may or may not be known at the time of purchase. HHonors Points may not be earned for any reason (including as a My Way benefit) for or during ineligible stays, including, without limitation, folio charges (i.e., the charges on your hotel bill) incurred during ineligible stays. If at least one night of the Member's stay is a reward stay booked with HHonors Points, the entire stay is considered a “Reward Stay” and no HHonors Points may be earned, except that if Member is using Room Upgrade Rewards, any money spent on the original reservation will earn points and/or miles consistent with these Terms. Participating hotel will determine whether incidental charges incurred during those stays are eligible for points, except that HHonors Points will not be earned for incidental charges at Hampton by Hilton™, Homewood Suites by Hilton™, and Home2 Suites by Hilton™. All Hampton by Hilton™ hotels in the People’s Republic of China are currently excluded from the Hilton HHonors program.
CAN I EARN POINTS FOR MULTIPLE ROOMS IF I AM PAYING FOR THEM?
You can earn HHonors Base Point credit for up to two rooms per stay. All eligible charges for both rooms must be paid together on one folio (i.e., one hotel bill), which must be requested at time of check-in.
Base Point credit will be earned for all eligible folio charges incurred on both rooms. Bonuses issued on Base Point credit or total folio charges, including elite tier bonuses and quarterly promotions, will apply to the total Base Point credit earned or folio charges incurred for both rooms. HHonors Bonus Point credit, including points earned with partners and other promotional bonuses, will be awarded on one room only (except for the elite tier bonuses and quarterly promotions mentioned above). You will earn only one stay credit (including credit toward HHonors elite tier qualification) and only one mileage credit.

WILL I EARN HHONORS POINTS FOR STANDARD ROOM REWARDS, POINTS & MONEY REWARDS, PREMIUM ROOM REWARDS AND ROOM UPGRADE REWARDS?
The money spent on the room rate portion of Points & Money Rewards will not be considered an eligible folio charge for which points will be issued. Determining all other incidental charges that count towards earning HHonors Points varies by brand and type of charge. Please see the HHonors Terms and Conditions for details.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN BASE POINTS AND BONUS POINTS?
There are two kinds of HHonors Points: HHonors Base Points and HHonors Bonus Points. You can use any combination of Base Points and Bonus Points to get free hotel stays and other rewards.
HHonors Base Points
You can earn HHonors Base Points when you stay at our hotels and resorts (see question #5 above). HHonors Base Points can also help you qualify for a higher tier status — so the more you stay with us, the more benefits you can enjoy.
HHonors Bonus Points
There are many ways to earn HHonors Bonus Points at our hotels and with our partners around the world. Choose Points & Points as your My Way Earning Style Option and you can earn Bonus Points during hotel stays. Use one of our HHonors credit cards and you can earn Bonus Points for purchases, big and small. Or earn Bonus Points for renting a car or shopping online. HOW DO I REACH HHONORS ELITE STATUS?
Your tier status is determined by eligible stay activity. The more frequently you stay at hotels within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio, the more generous your HHonors benefits become. When you reach Silver, Gold or Diamond status, you receive the added recognition and rewards of elite status — including extra HHonors Bonus Points for every qualifying stay, special on-property benefits and recognition, and exclusive reward opportunities.
Earning tier status
As a member, you can earn and maintain elite tier status based on the stays, nights, or HHonors Base Points earned in any calendar year. A "calendar year" is understood to mean 1 January through 31 December of each year. You must re-qualify for elite status each calendar year.
HOW DO I MAINTAIN ELITE STATUS?
Once you have reached a certain elite tier, you may keep your status for the calendar year in which the elite tier was earned and the subsequent calendar year. To make it easier to keep your elite tier status, reward stays count toward elite tier qualification.
Documentation and requests for tier qualification (as defined in item #17 of Accrual of Points in the HHonors Terms & Conditions) must be received at Hilton Reservations and Customer Care within six months from the date of activity. If you are a new member, credit will be accepted for any stay occurring within 30 days prior to enrollment in the program.

DO I NEED TO BE AN HHONORS MEMBER TO FIND OUT ABOUT HOTEL RATES?
No. You can still research hotels and rates without enrolling. However, as an HHonors member, you may be eligible for special rates which are visible only when you are signed-in to the website. Making a reservation is also easier as an HHonors member since your profile information can be automatically entered into forms.
HOW CAN I BOOK A HOTEL REWARD STAY?

For Room Upgrade Rewards, you can upgrade your room by changing your reservation online, over the phone, or at the front desk of most hotels.
HOW DO I CANCEL OR CHANGE A RESERVATION ONLINE?
You can cancel or modify an existing reservation made online using your confirmation number and either the credit card used for confirmation or your last name. Find your existing reservation now.

WHAT ARE STANDARD ROOM REWARDS?
You can redeem your points to enjoy free standard rooms at over 3,900 hotels worldwide with no blackout dates. Standard rooms are available for as few as 5,000 points per night. The number of points required will vary by hotel, room, booking and stay date, and is organized by hotel category.

WHY IS THERE A RANGE OF POINT PRICES FOR SOME CATEGORIES WITHIN THE STANDARD ROOM REWARDS CHART?
Some hotels within a category may have seasonal reward pricing throughout the year, where the number of points needed to redeem for Standard Room Rewards or Points & Money Rewards may vary if the Reward Stay is during a peak or off-peak period.
WHAT IS SEASONAL PRICING?
Seasonal pricing is available at some hotels to give HHonors members a way to book Standard Room Rewards at thousands of great hotels during off-peak periods at a significant discount to prices during peak periods. During an off-peak period, a hotel may offer Standard Room Rewards at a lower point redemption rate than during a peak period. Seasonal pricing may vary depending on the location and demand of each hotel.
For example, a hotel in Category 5 might require 50,000 points during its peak period and only 30,000 points during its off-peak period.
WHAT IF MY REWARDS STAY SPANS ACROSS PEAK AND OFF-PEAK PRICE PERIODS?
The number of HHonors points required for a Reward Stay will be the combined total of the HHonors point price for each night.
For example, if you book a Reward Stay for check-in on March 31st – and check-out on April 2nd (2 nights), where the number of points required in March is 50,000 points and in April is 30,000 points, the total cost of the Reward Stay will be 80,000 points.
DOES SEASONAL PRICING IMPACT HHONORS NO BLACKOUT POLICY FOR HOTEL REWARD STAYS?
No, seasonal pricing does not change the availability of rooms.
HOW DO I KNOW IF SEASONAL PRICING IS INCLUDED IN THE POINT PRICE WHEN I SEARCH FOR STANDARD ROOM REWARDS?
Seasonal Pricing is automatically reflected on the website based on the dates that you are searching for a Reward Stay. Depending on the time of your stay, you will be shown peak or off-peak pricing.
I DON’T HAVE ENOUGH POINTS TO BOOK STANDARD ROOM REWARDS. WHAT CAN I DO?
Not having enough points shouldn't keep you from seeing the world. That's why HHonors members can use a combination of HHonors Points and money to book a standard room. You can also purchase points anytime so that you have enough points to redeem for Standard Room Rewards, Points & Money Rewards, Premium Room Rewards, and Room Upgrade Rewards.

AFTER I BOOK A ROOM, SOMETIMES I AM GIVEN THE OPTION TO REQUEST A DISCOUNTED ROOM UPGRADE. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THAT OPTION, ROOM UPGRADE REWARDS AND PREMIUM ROOM REWARDS?
The option to request a discounted room upgrade is based on availability at the time of check-in, but you are not guaranteed an upgraded room. However, with Premium Room Rewards you are guaranteed a premium room or suite at the time of booking. Room Upgrade Rewards lets you upgrade an already confirmed room reservation to an available better room, including suites.
I AM A GOLD OR DIAMOND HHONORS MEMBER. WILL I STILL GET UPGRADED?
You will be upgraded subject to availability per the HHonors Terms and Conditions. Room Upgrade Rewards allow you to guarantee upgraded accommodations in advance when available, including upgrades to suites if they are available at a property, instead of waiting until check-in, which is the current Gold and Diamond upgrade policy.
CAN I USE ROOM UPGRADE REWARDS WITH PROMOTIONAL FREE REWARD NIGHT CERTIFICATES?
No. Reservations can be made using promotional free night certificates for Standard Room Rewards, however these reservations cannot be upgraded using Room Upgrade Rewards.
WHY ARE POINTS & MONEY REWARDS, PREMIUM ROOM REWARDS AND ROOM UPGRADE AWARDS NOT AVAILABLE FOR ALL LOCATIONS?
Availability of Points & Money Rewards varies by participating hotel and stay dates at the time of booking. Premium Room Rewards will be available as long as a premium room is available at the time of booking. If there is a premium room or suite available when booking an upgrade, you can use your points to guarantee your upgrade to the premium room or suite with Room Upgrade Rewards.
WHAT IS THE 5th NIGHT FREE BENEFIT ON REWARD STAYS?
Silver, Gold and Diamond elite members will receive every 5th night free on Standard Room Reward stays of five or more nights (up to four free nights on a stay of 20 consecutive nights). This is reflected in the point price by applying a per night discount that corresponds to one free night for every five nights.
In cases where the number of points required per night vary (for example when a stay includes peak and off-peak nights), the point value of the free night is determined by the average cost of points per night. This is calculated by dividing the total point cost of all nights by the number of nights in the stay.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO RECEIVE THE 5th NIGHT FREE BENEFIT ON REWARD STAYS?
5th Night Free is a benefit for our Silver, Gold and Diamond Elite HHonors members. Please make sure you are logged into your HHonors account to automatically receive the benefit on qualifying stays. Please note, this benefit will be reflected in the point price by applying a per night discount that corresponds to one complimentary night for every five nights.
IF I NEED TO CANCEL OR MODIFY MY REWARD STAY, WILL THE 5th NIGHT STILL BE FREE?
If you cancel your Reward Stay, the free night will also be canceled as it only applies to Standard Room Rewards of 5 consecutive nights or more. If you adjust the Reward Stay to be shorter than 5 nights, then the free 5th night will also be canceled and the entire Reward Stay will be repriced without the free night.
DOES THE 5th NIGHT FREE BENEFIT WORK IN CONJUNCTION WITH OTHER PROMOTIONS OR OFFERS?
The 5th Night Free benefit applies only to Standard Room Rewards, and does not apply when a stay is booked as part of any other offer, package or promotion offered by Hilton Worldwide or its partners.

WHEN I CONVERT HHONORS POINTS TO AIRLINE/RAIL MILES, HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE UNTIL THE MILES ARE CREDITED TO MY FREQUENT FLYER ACCOUNT?
HHonors sends requests for mileage conversion to the participating airline/rail partners at least once a month. Upon receipt by the airline/rail partner, your HHonors Points are converted to miles and posted to your account. HHonors and our airline/rail partners ask you to allow 60 days for the miles to be credited, provided that your initial request is complete and processed. Incomplete transfer requests may result in delays.
WHY CAN I EXCHANGE 5,000 AIRLINE MILES AND RECEIVE 10,000 HHONORS POINTS, BUT ONLY RECEIVE 1,500 MILES WHEN I EXCHANGE 10,000 HHONORS POINTS?
The exchange rates are based on the relative costs of the currency being exchanged (points or miles) and the costs of the rewards these currencies are redeemed for (free nights or free flights). The published conversion rates are part of the contractual agreements between Hilton HHonors and our exchange partners.

You can easily customize your username and password by signing into your HHonors account and updating your personal information.
HOW DO I CHANGE THE PASSWORD ON MY ACCOUNT?
- Click here to receive an email to reset your password. Your new password must be at least eight characters, contain one upper case letter, one lower case letter, and one number or one special character.
- Remember to choose a unique password and update it regularly to protect your personal information.
WHAT TYPES OF RESTRICTIONS/REGULATIONS ARE INVOLVED WITH THE NEW PASSWORD?
Hilton HHonors members’ new passwords must be:
- At least eight characters
- Contain one upper case letter,
- Contain one lower case letter
- Contain one number or one special character.
We encourage you to choose a unique password and update it every three to six months to ensure maximum security.

If you enroll using the brochure from a hotel
Please keep the paper copy of your HHonors number from your enrollment brochure, and use that number when making reservations. After you complete a second stay at a hotel within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio, you will receive a membership card and welcome materials within 4–6 weeks.
If you enroll while making a reservation over the phone
You will receive your HHonors number during your call with Hilton Reservations and Customer Care. Expect to receive your membership card and welcome materials within 4 weeks.
If you enroll online
Upon submitting the required information online, you will receive your HHonors number. After you complete a second stay at a hotel within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio, you will receive a membership card and welcome materials within 4 weeks.
If you lose your membership card
Request a replacement card in the Personal Information section of your account. You will receive your card within 4 weeks.
HOW DO I GET CREDIT FOR A MISSING HHONORS STAY?
Sign into your account and submit a Missing Stay Request form.
CAN I GIVE MY HHONORS POINTS TO ANOTHER HHONORS MEMBER?
HHonors Points can be transferred to another HHonors member in increments of 10,000 points at a nominal processing cost. There is no limit to the number of HHonors Points a member can transfer or receive. Fees are based on the number of points a member transfers out of the account. After transferring 200,000 points in a calendar year, any subsequent transfers that year are free.

HOW DO I COMBINE MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS?
You can combine multiple accounts online by signing into your HHonors account and going to Combine Accounts.
CAN MY SPOUSE AND I SHARE ONE HHONORS ACCOUNT?
No. As of 1 April 2004, multiple members may not share an account. HHonors members who have a Mutual Fund account as of 31 March 2004 will continue to receive Mutual Fund benefits.
WILL MY HHONORS ACCOUNT STAY OPEN EVEN IF I DO NOT STAY AT HOTELS WITHIN THE HILTON WORLDWIDE PORTFOLIO?
If you do not have eligible activity in any consecutive 12-month period, your accumulated points will be subject to forfeiture. Your account may be reactivated by taking one of the following actions:
a. Stay at a hotel or resort within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio, thus reactivating membership; or
b. Earn HHonors Points through any third-party source of HHonors Point accumulation, such as the use of an HHonors credit card; or
c. Purchase HHonors Points; or
d. Donate HHonors Points through the Hilton HHonors Giving Back Program
Failure to take action (a), (b), (c), or (d) described above within the prescribed 90-day period will result in the forfeiture of all accumulated points, and after five years of inactivity, the deactivation of your account. You can redeem HHonors Points for any HHonors reward for which you are eligible prior to the points being forfeited.

You can choose to receive an HHonors Monthly Statement via email for regular updates on your account activity and to see how close you are to your next reward. Simply update your email subscriptions in the My Profile section of your account.
WHAT IF AN ONLINE RECEIPT FOR A PAST HOTEL STAY DOES NOT APPEAR IN MY ACCOUNT?
Online receipts for past stays are available from most hotels in North America. Where available, online receipts can be accessed for 12 months from check-out date. If you require a copy of a receipt not available in My Account, please contact the hotel.
WHAT IF AN ONLINE RECEIPT DOES NOT REFLECT CORRECTIONS MADE BY THE HOTEL AFTER MY STAY?
If the hotel makes any adjustments to an item from your receipt after you have checked out, those modifications do not appear on the online version of your receipt. Please call the hotel for further assistance.
WHAT IF A PAST HOTEL STAY DOES NOT APPEAR IN MY ACCOUNT?
Past hotel stays can take a few days to appear in your My Account page. Please allow up to 5 business days after check-out from hotels inside North America and up to 2 weeks for hotels outside North America. If credit has not appeared within those time frames, you can easily request credit for a missing stay right from your online account.
